Use non-common words.
Computer, download, titty, animals, fuzz-bucket, squirrel are all pretty common search terms, and there are a ton of posts that have the same words in them. You may have to try other words and terms.
Also, we don't mind if you DO do a search, post something, then realize that it WAS posted already. Just make sure its not so obvious that you didn't search.
Example:
"I'm looking for free image hosting."
we all know that there is something like 5 threads concerning this.
