While I like the direction they went with the zombies, it definitely needed some intestine eating to catch up to my favorite, Day of the Dead. but as a remake of Dawn, I thought it did pretty well, especially (minor SPOILER):

the video footage during the credits was a nice touch. I was worrying that they were going to end this one on an up note, thank god they came to their senses. And having Sex Machine as the local sheriff was a stroke of genious, no matter how limited his cameo was. I think its been said before, but wasn't he one of the gang members in the original?
