If you elect to use Tapcon™ anchors or a similar product, they usually include a bit with the package, as the sizing is precise. You can drill into brick and use lead anchors as advised by fhqwhgads and if the hole becomes sloppy, tamp in a piece of lead wool, available at plumbing supply houses.
