Many of the folks here seem to be pretty good cooks. I think of myself as a halfway decent cook. I've got the drive to invent creative dishes, but I lack the know-how to pull most of them off.

So I figured I'd start a thread to document some of my worst failures, and hopefully someone else out there has similar experiences.

Here's my worst so far:

After watching Food Network for 3 straight days I got the urge to do some creative cooking. I raided the cabinets and fridge and came up with a dish that at the time sounded good.

Check this, I cooked some pasta, and mixed it in with some canned peas and creamed corn. I actually thought it was a good idea, I was all proud of my creativity. After about four bites I realized that it was alot like eating fresh barf.

I shouldn't be allowed near a kitchen.
