Jesus and St. Peter (Will I ever learn?)
St. Peter decides he'd like to take a break, and calls Jesus over to watch the Pearly Gates during the break. Jesus agrees.
About 15 minutes later, an elderly man walks by looking for his son.
Jesus asks, "May I help you?"
The old man says, "I'm looking for my son. Can you help me find him?"
Jesus says, "Sure. Who are you?"
The old man replies, "I'm the boy's father - well, not really his father."
Jesus asks, "Where are you from?"
"I'm from the Mediterranean Sea area," answers the old man.
Jesus continues, "And what do you do for a living?"
The old man explains, "I'm a carpenter."
At this point, Jesus realizes that this is all beginning to sound very familiar, so he asks a few more questions.
"Did anything unusual happen on the night he was born?" asked Jesus.
"Yes," replied the old man, "there was a bright star directly over our house - so bright it lit up all the heavens!"
Jesus then asks, "Wait a minute - does your son have holes in his hands and feet from where nails were driven through them?"
The old man excitedly replies, "Yes, YES! Have you seen him?"
Jesus throws his arms open and shouts, "FATHER!"
The old man replies, "Pinocchio?!?"
