i live with two guys and if anything i've learned, i need to pick my battles. This just isn't that important i guess. (i'm female) and as much of a pain as it can be falling in, because yes i've done that once or twice as well (when half asleep in the middle of the night) i just put the seat down when i go *shrugs* It's just as gross for both of us to have to touch it, so i figure it balances out between all of us.
