As a citizen of Dublin (not irish btw) St patricks day was tons of fun ... lots, and lots of people in the streets, pissant drunk, overcrowded pubs with jolly laughter and general ambient noise... the occasional irish folksong, (best heard drunk for effect)
too bad I had to work all day and could only join in during the evening ... but good fun anyhow
Bring on the Guinness !!!!
