If you're old enough to be having sex you're probably old enough to stand up for yourself to your mother. This is your health you're dealing with. Either go to the gynecologist to get the patch and be prepared to deal with the consequences if your mom finds out, or carry on using (I hope) condoms and be prepared to deal with the consequences if they fail. Even if you do go on the patch, you should probably keep using condoms unless you're both 100% sure you're both safe.
