I have a '99 C280 that I bought used a year and a half ago. Only problems I've had with the car is a drivers side mirror that make a strange rattle when I close the door and a creaky door check arm on the right rear door. I really want another one but after what I've heard I may go with another used one. Really would like a '99-00 CLK or E class. Reading those complaints make me think twice about a new one.
On the other hand I work at a dealer. I know what it's like to hear from dissatisfied customers. Some people have no real problem and just want out of a car they really couldn't afford or just didn't like it after they took it home. They just want a way to get out of the car and they see the lemon law as a way out.
Your more likely to hear from a unhappy customer than a happy one.
