It works the opposite direction. The farther the relatives are from each other on the tree, the chances of nature messing up are reduced. So you've got a higher chance of healthier babies with a 2nd cousin, not 1st.
And ditto what james t kirk said about siblings & sexual curiosity. Although, I'd like to add that it is acceptable and normal if a child peeks at his/her parents while they're getting out the shower or going to bathroom. Research has shown that they turn out perfectly normal. It appears to be part of their natural learning process/curiosity. They think it's part of building a gender identity. (Sneaking glances of parents and incest are totally different, so I am slightly off topic, sorry.)
