I got my first puppy 2 years ago, and now my wife is taking him in the divorce. I spent more time with the dog than she had. Rips my heart out having to leave him. His name is Doc; he’s a miniature poodle. Why is he named Doc? When my wife and I went to pick him out from a young litter, he came up to me and started gnawing on the hell of my shoe (Dr. Martens). He has the most amazing demeanor. Unlike most poodles who are extremely attached to their master so much that they have trouble socializing with any other person or dog for that matter. Instead my dog is spectacular, so very friendly and loving, at this point probably more so than my wife. Sorry I tried really hard not to gripe about loosing the dog in the divorce but I couldn’t do it.
