I hate what I've heard of Damage Plan. The music is lacking heart and any remote shreds of originality. I hate the singer too. To me, DP sounds like a bunch of riffs that the band turned down when Pantera was still around.
Phil made Pantera what they were. It's no shock that Dime and Vinnie can't do it without him.
SJR is descent, Down is great. Phil may be a fucked up junkie, but he writes good music.
