Wait a minute. If they left you a receiver and a server, you may not need much else. I have seen entire homes being driven by careful wiring and a single receiver.
What audio do you use with the Bose system that you want to hear through your house? If it is duplicated on the reciever, then youre almost there.
If you really need to use an audio source from your Bose system, just use a LINE OUT (if available) from your Bose system to any input on the receiver. That should do it. The receiver will have its own internal amplifier, sends its signal to the server, and you're in!
As far as your comments of "... I can't determine the proper connection scheme to allow the JVC receiver to power the sound through the bose speakers. .." you should think about doing it the other way around.
