yes, it was a heinz variety, little black curly haired thing I called smokey. I guess I was like 5...I loved him a lot. my mom hated him. one day he was gone. I looked and looked and searched for him all the way up to the railroad tracks. When I returned and said I couldn't find him, my parents acted guilty. I knew I knew they were lying about him getting "lost"
I learned a lot about life that day...
