Gizmo was the mixed spaniel that my family owned when I was born. He ruled the neighborhood. He fathered more litters, killed more rodents, chased more salesman, and loved more children than any dog ever! My older brother told me a story about a fight Gizmo had with an Army trained German Shepherd... nearly killed it. Lot of heart for a little spaniel. You can't have a pet like that anymore. No dog could hope to live up to that legacy.
