I think it makes sense
A young man will take great risks to spread his genes. If we stayed as crazy as we were when we were in our teens, we would probably all die young and would not be around to raise the children we have fathered.
Women probably reach their peak so that they seek out sexual encounters as a "last chance" to get pregnant before they get too old.
and blaspheme is a relative term
