Dune. It's kind of funny but it's the first game I ever played on a game system (Sega Genesis), and the first game I bought for PC (Dune 2000).
I still rate everything on how it stacks up against Dune. Like my big beef with Rise of Nations, and their ilk, is the scale is all off. I'm building big fleets of aircraft carriers to sail on my lake. Gimme a break.
Wouldn't happen in Dune!
