Pothead behavior sounds like early teenage behavior -- moping around trying to get somebody to give you something and putting the solution for your own problems on the rest of the world. And I have seen this behavior in some 40-year-old potheads, so maybe the case could be made for pot causing arrested development. Or, maybe pot simply appeals a lot to guys who never grow up.
I do know one or two guys in their 50s who smoke pot on a regular basis, have been doing so for 30-40 years, and entirely have their lives together. But their pot use is compartmentalized; they come home from a hard day at the bank, fix dinner, take care of the kids, then light one up. And then that's it, off to bed.
