I have used both Red Hat and SuSe but nowadays my vote goes to Red Hat. A year ago I was a die-hard SuSe fan but I got tired of compiling most packages from scratch and chasing dependencies all over the place (my biggest problem with Linux so far).
Other than that, SuSe pretty much beats RH with support, ease of use and general slick-looky-ness.
