Crosman Quest 1000x
I just bought a Crosman 1000FPS Pellet gun.
It seems to shoot like a hunk of shit :( I'm gonna try to use a bunch of different pellets in it, but anyone have any idea's of ways to improve pellet gun performance? |

can you be a bit more specific than its shooting like a hunk of shit plz  lets start with this, just how familiar with a rifle are you? |
I'm very familiar with rifles that use powder and make much much bigger booms :P
I took the rifle back actually, the thing about it, I was very disappointed with, is that the scope is attached to the rear of the gun, yet the pellet goes into the gun halfway down the barrel, and on a "completely" different piece, that hinges to cock the spring. So the two cannot work well together, (and if they do now, will they in 1000, 2000, 5000 shots?? doubtful). Now I'm looking for suggestions of a accurate, fair priced pellet gun. |
Define accurate. I do all my airgun shooting at a range of around 10-20 meters. At that range, you can hit with pretty much any gun I imagine, so long as it's not horribly sighted. Also, are you looking for a rifle or pistol? CO2 or spring? There's also a thread that was made not too long ago with some suggestions (well, a couple of months).

I want a rifle, Air (pump it up 8 or 10 times whatever) and accurate enough to kill birds, squirrels up to about 20 yards, more if I get a lucky shot off.
I actually did make a thread like a year ago or so here, but there's all the new guns out now, I wanted to see again what would be a good/best choice since I have plenty of money now. |
I suggest something like this. I haven't used it (since pretty much all of my air rifles are ollllllld) but it looks solid, it's pneumatic (pump), and .22 cal so it should be better for killing small helpless living creatures. Poor little things that can't defend themselves against you and have done you no... *gets dragged off by a cane*
