The King's Dagger
I finally got it! The King's Dagger! In one word: beautiful! :D
http://www.bladegallery.com/pics/bgknife3040.jpg Check it out here. Maker: Robert Crowder Weight: 11.85oz Blade Length: 8.9" Total Length: 14.5" Blade Thickness: 0.2" Blade Width: 1.3" Blade: Damascus steel forged from 15N20 and 1084 carbon steels Bolster: Sculpted Damascus Handle: Sculpted fossil mammoth ivory Comments: This masterful dagger is the work of Bob Crowder, president of the Montana Knifemakers Association. The twist pattern Damascus blade has been sculpted at the ricasso and leads into the highly sculpted Damascus guard. The handle is formed from cream toned fossil mammoth ivory that has been sculpted into diamonds. The diamonds form a comfortable feel in the hand and a dramatic appearance. The dagger is finished off with a Damascus pommel. Excellent fit and finish throughout and a spectacular dagger! |
how much did you lay down for that thing? sounds expensive but definately very nice looking.
you planning on hanging it up over a fireplace? |
Quote:
Actually, I won't hang it over a fireplace because it will dry and crack the ivory. |
Nice, did it come with a sheath?
