What's the strangest gun you've ever owned?

I've run across some pretty bizarre stuff in my day. My favorite was a single shot top-break pistol chambered in 6.5 Japanese (the rifle round). It was made to look like a broomhandle mauser. They went to great pains to copy the mauser look, including serializing all of the parts. What was really funny was that the person who did it inverted one of the numbers repeatedly. The top break part was made to look like an tangent rear sight. Oddly enough, it had a front sight, but no rear sight at all, and noplace for one to go. It was very crudely made, and I'd never dream of firing it. It was a WWII bringback from the Pacific theater (late war, I bought it from the guy who brought it back)

So, I've spilled. What's the strangest/oddest gun you've ever owned?

I had a .303 Enfield without furniture. I used a piece if 2x6 bolted to the receiver the couple times I fired it. Ouch.

Single shot 12 Guage breach, that had a 3" barrel, a pistol grip and a handle that stuck out the left hand side. When loaded you could literally touch the end of the shell with your finger (not advised).

The thing looked a lot like a Sten SMG. I bought it off a friend of a friend, but due to new legislation (a few years ago now) I had to have it destroyed.

I was totally useless as a hunting firearm, but it would have been a hell of a home self defense weapon! Given the 3" barrel the spread on some 00 buck would have been enough to hit someone standing behind you!!!

They made a 5 shot revolver, the Thunder 5, with the same idea. IIRC, it had a 2 inch barrel. It takes .45LC or .20 gauge shotgun shells. It looks like a cartoon gun, and I wouldn't want to try to fire it.

Cool. I had a nifty little Rem Rolling block cavalry carbine in .43 spanish. I never shot it, but it was a neat little gun.

Nope. I was only 13 at the time. The state police caught me and a buddy shooting ducks and confiscated it.

A duck getting hit with one of those sort of disappears in a big poof of feathers and guts. But you have to catch them floating by in the river to do it. It was impressive.
