SKS bayonet stuck open

Hi all, I'm trying to put my Yugo SKS away, but the bayonet is stuck open. It was a pain in the ass to extend it, and now I can't fold it back in. I already sprayed it with some CLP. Is there a button or something I don'tknow about? i don't want to put too much force on it for fear of breaking something. Time is of the essence, thanks in advance.

Grasp bayonet collar, where blade meets hinge, or grasp by the collar/loop which goes over the muzzle.

Pull forwards, towards the muzzle. If the collar will not move, pull harder. If it -still- won't move, tap it forward with a hammer. It's an SKS; y'a'int gonna hurt it. If it won't move under hand pressure, it probably just means there's some leftover Cosmoline gunking up the collar's slidey bits.

Once collar moves, fold bayonet.

Dude, Dun-man, you're my fucking hero. Thanks for the knowledge. I'll try to buy a gun from you some day to pay you back.

I can't stop laughing. This reminds me of the one time PFC Engel locked himself inside an up-armor.

Glad I could amuse you. The thing was, I muscled it open because I didn't know about the collar, but then I couldn't muscle it closed. Kind of a pain in the ass, but I got it figured out now.

Is it a blade or spike bayonet?

Blade. It's a yugoslavian M55/66A1.

Is PFC Engel a skinny white dude with thick glasses that trained with Charlie 2-54 at Benning?
