Glock-37

Thoughts? Is this the new the new 10MM?

Sounds pretty sweet to me, single-stack feel with 10 rounds (the legal max).

Seems to me like the .45GAP is an attempted fix on an un-broken catridge. (.45acp) Not a big glock fan, but I have seen and handled the gun. Feels identical to the model 21.

mmm, no thanks.

I also agree that the 10mm is a solution in search of a problem, not to mention Glock's spotty QA/QC (re: kB!)

I could never bring myself to buy a 10MM simply because the rounds are frankly just too damn expensive for me. Ill stick with 9MM or .45ACP.

As for Glock... LOVE EM! Ive had one for about 2 years and the damn thing works every single time I pull the trigger. And it puts bullets right where I want them. Never once has is misfired on me. Very easy to take down and clean as well.

Can't say much about .45GAP, but I do love 10mm. It is as close to .357 mag in performance that I've put through an autoloader. Grade-A shooty. It's a shame that it never caught on, as it's numbers are great.

Actually, the Winchester 175 grain Silvertip factory loads in 10MM and .41 Magnum are almost identical in performance. More power and more capacity on a .45 sized action can't be a bad thing, if it's done right. (i.e. the EAA Witness does this rather well.)

I'm not a big fan of Glocks for several reasons, the main one being that they don't fit me at all.

MrTuffPaws 05-18-2004 06:10 PM

The .45 GAP is just a short .45 ACP, except more expensive and untested. Way of the 10mm (dying?), who knows, but I won't lay down the money for one until the round is established.

Now if Glock came out with some in the Tokarov round (7.62x25), now that would be worth the money.

Boomtruck, I've put those Silvertip 10mm's downrange. They were excellent rounds, very consistent. I knew they were good performers, but had no idea that they were .41 mag class. Wow.

Sadly, it is getting tougher and tougher for me to find 10mm loads for my S&W 1027 in the local stores =(

One word (acronym, whatever): RCBS.

Moonduck 05-21-2004 08:03 PM

Yeach yeah, and I'm supposed to find time (and money) for what amounts to an entire other hobby? I can't even get a shooting trip together, let alone want to contemplate affording to buyy a reloading rig and then find time to use it.

I may have to do it someday though, if the rounds get any more scarce.
