Kel Tec alternative
I'm looking for alternitives to the kel tec 32ACP. Anyone have any suggestions. My most important consideration is concealibility and capacity. Caliber is not nearly as large of a concern because, although many people are stuck in the "bigger is better" mindset, it isn't necessarily true. Small caliber wepons kill more people each year and generally do more internal damage as they bounce around inside. Back on topic... I have been doing research locally and online, and think the Kel-Tec looks pretty good. Anyone know of any close contenders that may be a better way to spend my money?
Thanks |
Seecamp .32acp is very good from what I hear. Tough to find apparently.

I never listened to the small caliber bounce around theory but I will say I have shot the subcompact glock (maybe model 26) in .40 S&W and I would recommend it as long as you can deal with a glock.

I can suggest two different guns. The Makarov, and the CZ-83.
The Makarov comes in 9x18 or 380, and you can get 32NAA barrels for it. The CZ-83 comes mostly in 380, but 32 and 9x18 are availible. Both are blowback designs with the Mak being a single stack 8 rounder and the CZ being a double stack ten rounder. Now if you are looking for something really small, try the NAA Gaurdian. It is chambered in the new 32NAA round. As for concealibility, you can conceal almost anything if you have the right holster and the right clothes. |
I have a Kel Tec P32 that I carry around in a wallet-holster (essentially a flat surface that the pistol fits snugly next to which looks like you're carrying a wallet when put in your back pocket), and it works for me. Very easy to carry and practically invisible.

then the question would be, what to do with my wallet, hehe

I have the Sig 232, very accurate and has a great feel.

Another vote for the Makarov. A damn fine gun.
