Anyone have one of these?

I cannot get mine to shoot, at all, it strings the bullets up and down no matter what load I'm using. Left and right it'll shoot nice, up and down sucks major ass.

Is it a factory? There are many things that could cause it too shoot funny.

The crown, the forend touching the barrel wrong, even the chamber, like the throat too long. If you can, look at the crown first, and see if it has any major dings/burrs, anything looks abnormal.

Then check the forend, see if it's sitting funny.

Have you tried doing your own loads? They can be funny like that, if you can try different brands of bullets, and grain. Some guns like different things. Factory rounds aren't always best for factory guns, or any guns at that.

So check the crown first, then maybe a cheap method would be to try some reloads.

Let me know how it goes. What you tried.

not factory loads, I did all the reloads myself with damn near every combonation possible. crowns fine, floated barrel, forearms fine, I sent it back 2 times now to get a reamer sent through it to get any possible burr, which i didnt see in the first place.

I am about to sell it but I wanted this one.

So, how bad is it "stringing?" Can you even hit the paper? If the forearms been floated, then the only thing I can think of is the chamber. I would have to take a look at it to really tell you tho.

If you really don't want to sell it, then you can send it too me, and I can recrown it. Maybe get a better look at it.

Where did you get the forearm floated?

JDJones in Wintersville Ohio is where most of the work was done.

Some loads it'll string up and down 15 inches even. the best i can get is like 6 inches or so. but left and right is w/in and inch.

edit: thats at 200 yards.

Whats that cost for recrown?

Well, is it a blue barrel, or stainless?

If you pay to have it shipped, I would recrown it for $10 dollars. That includes the refinish work on it after, bluing and what not.

I would also try to see if the chamber was bad or not. Not like that is going to make it string like what your talking, but it could hurt it.

So basically your looking around $20.00 after shipping. I would recommend sending your action with it. Your lock up and fit to the frame could have a little to do with it. There is just so many things that can cause it to not shoot. (if you have other barrels and don't want to send the frame its ok, I don't think that has much to do with it....it just wouldn't hurt to check) You can see if your barrel wobbles on the frame when locked. If not then it should be fine.

From what your saying tho, it sounds like the crown.
