Exotic Weapons
 

Anyone else here a collector/maker of exotic weapons? The nerf gun thread made me think of this.

I don't really care if they work well, the object isn't to make a weapon better than a knife or gun, just to see what I can make for fun. So far I've learned to make whips out of ropes that are fairly effective considering.

I've made a sort of short mace. I took a rock, wrapped it with rope, made about a 5 inch rope handle then ducked taped it all up. It hits hard.

Another thing I've made, is basically the above, but smaller and lighter and on the end of a 6 ft rope made to swing around. Basically a ranged version that hits pretty damn hard.

I've made a ton of blow dart guns. Those are pretty easy though.

Probably my coolest and nastiest weapon is a 7 foot length of wire (think piano wire) with a fishing lead weight at the end and a huge fishing hook, 4 pronged. Its function would be to wrap around a limb and then have control over that limb at a distance.

The next thing I want to work on is some sort of glove with claw type blades.

disclaimer: I haven't used these weapons on any living thing, I don't recommend you make them, etc. I just find them neat.

My son and I made a gravity trebuchet out of LEGO. It can throw a LEGO nearly 8 inches.

No there is nowhere to fire Automatic Weapons in the UK!. Try Czechoslovakia because they are the only european country with liberalized gun laws and Automatic Weapons.
