They’re just the best weapon ever! And now look: I can build my own! And so can you!

sorry to burst your bubble, but that is a stun gun, not a taser. It does not do any of the cool things that a real taser will, nor will it incapacitate anyone- It will piss them off, and make them attempt to insert that stun gun into somewhere unpleasant.... this BTW goes for all of those stun guns on the market that claim to "stop a violent attacker" if it isnt a real taser, it wont.... I sell weapons for a living, and we tested everything from the 40,000 volt models up to the the 500,000, and none of them do anything except hurt, and not enough to do anything but make someone good and pissed..... now as a fun toy for zapping friends with a really good sense of humor, or for staying awake on a long drive......

I like it when stuff bleeds....and dies. Call me when they invent a taser that will do that....whats that, oh they have those already, I've heard about those firearms, I'm interested, tell me more

Oh, I am so sad... is "taser" a brand name? If not, what voltage makes something a "taser"?

Taser is a brand name, and it is not the voltage, its the frequency and amperage- it at this point takes something more sophisticated than a stun gun to stop someone reliably without killing them- too much amperage or wrong frequency = dead guy- other firms are working on stuff that works like a taser for reasonable prices (tasers are running at $400.00 + ) and taser has recently brought out a cheaper civi model that is, I believe, under 4 bills- There are only two real problems with a taser right now, 1- ONE SHOT and then you are down to using it as a hand to hand weapon, which works no where near as well, 2- 15 foot range in the civi model, 21 on the leo model- not anywhere near as far as I would like........ other firms are bringing out taser like items with more shots and range, and there is even one on the board that uses ionized streams to deliver volts (hello Phasers) but nothing solid yet......
