The MP5 is one of the most perfect submachine gun designs I've handled... even covered with silly runes and oakleaf scrawl... that gun rocks my socks.

I don't know about that list. Most of those firearms were not particularly impressive.

I love the pistol with a bayonet... it just screams, "WTF am I thinking?!? lolz!1"

It's a crying shame that #10 never made it to production.

The Pancor Jackhammer was not on this list.

Its a firearm faux pas to have the word (or number and word...you know what I mean) 9mm and perfect in the same sentence.

But in all honesty, theres no good answer to the open or closed bolt debate. ESPECIALLY when you're talking about a mag fed SMG.

Wow, that page is full of crap. The weapons are ok, I mean there is plenty of crappy adware and shit.
I also like the glock + bayonet.

The venerable Thompson weighs 13 pounds unloaded. I own one and have carried it around for a while just to see how much of a bitch it is... and it is. The weapon plus enough ammo to make it useful is absolutely annoying considering how little range you get and how horrible the ammo consumption versus accuracy is with those horrible iron sights and uncomfy furniture setup.

Fun at the range. I'd never want to lug that thing in combat. Grease gun me! The grease gun was light, shot slowly like a garden hose, and was a helluva lot cheaper.

Thompson: Automatic .45 out of a heavy-as-fuck gun. I'll take 9mm and more rounds.

The MP5 is accurate enough to make smiley faces and weighs 9 pounds less.

9mm +P+ Hydra-Shocks in 30 round mags is more than enough firepower.

.45 isn't the universal answer for handgun-caliber items. Especially SMGs.

Sidearms? Sure. SMGs? Not so much given rate of fire and range factors.

The Thompson is an extremely beautiful gun. The finned barrel with Cutts compensator, the vertical foregrip, wood furniture contrasting with the deeply blued steel... is real, real pretty.
