Can anyone comment on the dak trigger system on the sig sauer 226?

Yes, DA/SA is better if you are willing to train enough to get used to the DA/SA transition. If it's a defensive pistol then it doesn't matter, if it's a range pistol, or you also want to use it at the range then go for DA/SA.
