I enjoy the fuck out of my rugar mark II 7.62 x 39mm.

I guess i like the nice little punch that small rifle round packs.

Anywho, Today I was out shooting and was wondering if there were any simular rounds out there. I want to expand my gun collection a little.

Im not really a firearms freak..yet.. so i thought id just post a thread and ask you tfp lurkers. :p

Define "similar". My guess is the closest round next to that would be the 7.62mm x 51mm / .308 calibre.

just a small, fun to shoot rifle round that doesnt recoil like a mofo. :p

I love my 10/22... not the punch of the 7.62 but fun and cheap. If you want to stay with the 7.62 though, a SKS in good condition is a fun choice. A Yugoslavian 59/66 SKS with a bayonet... fun to shoot, looks cool as hell and has about 6.5 million mods out for it

.30-30 is pretty similar ballistically, just don't get a marlin.

Ruger MKII in 7.62 X 39? Isn't the MK II a rimfire pistol?
