I'm tired of walking, GPS queries...
ok, so I'm tired of walking in to hunting camps, it's overrated, highly. So, I'm jumping in, what I need now is a good GPS, preferably one that will handle streets too, that I can get some sort of attachment for so I can wear it on my forearm... plan in, go to spot where I wanna jump in, set waypoint, then later jump out of plane and use GPS on my way in to make sure I land in roughly the right spot. I've been told Garmin makes good ones...

| Evil Priest: The Devil Made Me Do It! Location: Southern England | Garmin make excellent ones for outdoor use. I use a Tom Tom one in the car and it's fantastic, but they don't do an outdoor sports one. One thing I would recommend if you ever want to use it in the car for roads etc, is to get something where the maps can be uploaded/updated. Mine has all the UKs speed cameras loaded on it, and you can d/l updates to that, and the maps (when they build new roads etc). Also it uses bluetoth to hook up with my phone and get local traffic reports - if there's a roadblck it dynamically recalculates e route. All totally useless features to a walker I now realise, so I'll STFU and sod off.

| Too hot in the hot tub! | I have been doing research on these for a while now and I really like the looks of the Magellan Explorist series. They are rugged and waterproof. The lower priced models just have built-in base maps with no way to update or upgrade your maps, but the higher priced ones have pc cable connection and SD card slots. I will probably purchase an Explorist 500 North America in the next few months.
