Bizarre error message
Happens when I boot up (on Windows ME)
"262582e2c2c30 has caused an error in VBSCRIPT.DLL. 262582e2c2c30 will now shut down." WTF is that about? |
That's where the program name belongs so something has a strange name. Not a good sign.
Have you tried to search for 262582e2c2c30 as a partial filename? |
mmm i've seen stuff like that before. Some trojans pick random names when they're installed on your system, and when they break you come up with stuff like this. Suggest you look for the file like cyrnel said and run a full virus sweep, just in case.

Wait, I think I see your problem:

Thanks for those links. I'm much obliged
well, that program found almost 60 infections on my computer, but not the one generating the error message I originated the thread with. Oh well, I'm glad not to have 60 trojans and viruses on the hard drive anymore |
