What is "Ceres" and how do I get rid of it?
I know what it is, sorta. It clearly is an advertising/adware thing that's firmly lodged in my IE that can circumvent my pop up blocker. It is also not listed in my Add/Remove Programs area.
I normally use Firefox, but occasionally there is an online application or whatnot that I need to fill out that doesn't like Firefox, and frankly I don't like having Ceres on my computer. So how do I send it to hell? |
I'd get rid of IE.
Although I don't use Firefox, I'm sure there's a plugin that will help you get around those forms that don't like it. |

...and now for some actual information related to ceres.
Looks like Symantec has a removal tool. I cannot speak for it's effectiveness, but here it is just the same: http://securityresponse.symantec.com...rinternet.html Good luck |
