Cooling CPU temp
OK i realize buying a better heatsink would be the optimum way to fix any and all heating issuesbut anyone know any sites that sell cheap and good case fans. Furthermore, whats considered too hot for the cpu save for the flames bursting from the mobo?

It all depends on the CPU/mobo, case setup, ambient temperature, current fan setup, lots more detains eneded to help you out lol

The biggest influences on how hot your processor runs is your CPU fan, case, and ambient temperature in the room. The biggest of the three might be the ambient temp. If it's cool in your room, the processor will be much cooler than normal. If it's hot, the CPU temp will rise. There's nothing you can do to alter the actual temperature of everything in the room.
A good CPU fan will lower temperatures a decent amount (maybe 10 degrees celsius max). Case fans will lower them even further, but not by any amount close to having a good CPU fan or cool ambient temp. Your processor is fine if it stays under 60 celsius. -Lasereth |
