Netscape Mail Client
OK. So I need some help for my parents.
They have a netscape mail address ( @netscape.net) and used to get their mail through the netscape client. its version 7.2 They had been using it with problems for quite a while and suddenly, without any change in the configs, it said it connect to the server. So they couldn't get their new messages anymore. Now they're using the same account but without the client.. so that sucks.. Because the contacts can't be imported and stuff. So I tried deleting and re-creating the account on the client, and each time i try to re-enter the account and it needs to verify the password, it says it can't connect to the server. the really bad thing is that apparently Netscape doesn't allow getting your mail through other clients. please help. |
Sounds very doubtful that netscape would only allow access to their mail through their own client. (And if that really is the case then someone should bitchslap them until they straighten up)
Have you tried getting accessing it through thunderbird or mozilla? |
Yep. didn't work. And until I went to the IRC Thunderbird chat thing I didn't know that until they told me that basically netscape's a bitch now. So that's what they told me...and since I tried it, I believe it..
