Problem entering key in Alcohol 120%
I purchased a key for Alcohol 120%, but my free trial version has already exceeded 30 days. Now, whenever I start the program, I can either press OK (which closes it), or I can press (Buy it now!), which opens IExplorer and directs me to their site. The thing is I already have a key, and in order to use it, I need a working version of the trial version.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing the trial version, but I guess it leaves something in my registry that tells it I already had the trial version for 30 days, 'cause after reinstallation, the same thing happened. Any suggestions? |
Maybe it's a bug. Try e-mailing their support address to report it, or post it in their bug forum?
Alternatively, you can go hunting in your registry as you suggest. Install a program that watches the registry (or takes snapshots), and then install Alcohol. Then compare the snapshots. I think Regmon does live registry-watching. |
Actually I just found a way around it that's not so technical. I just set my computer's clock back to get back to the trial version, then was able to enter my reg version. Thanks though! :)

I can't believe that worked! Are we living in 1998? Nice.
