Autopopulate fields in Access?

Wasn't sure if this belong in here or Computers but considering the likely hood of some SQL code coming into play I posted it here.

Ok quick question and it's probably easy...
But I need to take a pre-existiting database and the request has been made that we make it so if you fill in a field say...telephone number...that the form will have it's fields autopopulated with the corresponding fields from the table.

I have a sneaking feeling this is very possible but I'm not sure how to do it.

It was tossed around that such could be done through a Macro but I have no idea how to do such. I'm also not sure if the field that is used to do this would need to be a primary key or not. And I'm sure it can been done in a SQL configuration but I only know enough SQL to make a basic database and tables. Nothing nearly as advanced as this.

So any suggestions or where I could find this info on the Web?
Thanks.
