Full-screen DVD playback error in Windows Media Player 10

Hi all,

I have a problem when I try to view DVD's in full-screen in WMP10. It won't actually go to a completely full screen. I got a wide-screen laptop (1280x800) and it just ends up being a smaller box with black edges all around. Ofcourse I don't mind the black edges at the top and bottom, but there are also black edges on both sides. However when I use WinDVD it is no problem and goes to a proper full screen.

Anybody know what I can do to fix this?

Thanks.

Sander

There's your solution right there.

I knew someone would say that. I prefer WMP over WinDVD though. Any other options?

I think I've had something similar to this. Try messing around with the video acceleration slider in Tools - Options - Performance in Windows Media Player. Try it at different levels on the slider and see if it helps?
