help bobby !!! dtv/dishtv....cable???
been a DTV guy for 6 years...great pic service etc.. now the neighbors trees are blocking signal...dishTV has a lower satilite..no good....could switch to cable service,,, comcast or verizion....would let me up grade to dsl or better and combine billing with phone service....verizon(wife cell) and comcast(Qwest) land line...any ideas or places to go and ask???
.......... bobby  ........... |
Cut down your neighbor's trees. :)

wow..never thought of that...???? next.....
|
well, you can get that weed remover stuff...and spray the hell outta that tree...it'll be dead in no time
but in all seriousness...your question seems too broad to answer without knowing your specific location. different providers rate differently in different areas. some places adelphia sucks bad and some places adelphia is awesome best bet for some research is a place called dslreports.com. there you can punch in your zip code, get some providers in the area, and have local reviews. maybe after that, you can decide better. hope this helps. oh yeah...digital cable looks really good too...plus you can get hd feed...i think |
THANKS,I'M ON MY WAY......xoxoxoo

I too 2nd the dslreports thingy.
give ya a good idea of what is avail, speeds etc. I had analog cable FOR YEARS, until just recently made the move to digital and I am impressed, while there is some pixelation during very high action scenes (almost like watching streaming video when it has a small hiccup) it is really nothing you would ever notice or bother you but I have seen it a few times. I have Time Warner and like I said so far so good the on demand channels kick ass, and I do have the option to go with HD too, now if I could only talk the gf into letting me get that big plasma screen :) oh wait I am the one that keeps telling her they cost too much still :) |

Cut the tree, no tree should interfere with satellite television. Cable in my opinion, digital or not, is subpar compared to satellite.

Comcast and Verizon are also two choices where I live, and I chose Comcast. Excellent customer service, decent rates, and their cable internet is far superior to DSL. Haven't had any problems with them.

BOBBY, i was walking around and thinking, how hard would it be to actually move the dish? running some coax can't be that hard and all you have to do is get the degree right or as they call it azimuth. just something i thought i'd throw out there. hope all goes well
