Desktop looks like a folder
I'm not sure if I can explain this right so here it goes. My friend has a XP pro machine and his desktop all of a sudden looks like a folder. He has the most common tasks side bar to the left of the desktop and the icons are on the right. Now he does have a background wallpaper like normal but we can't get rid of that side bar. I went to the actual desktop folder and turned off the side bar but it's still there. Very strange I must say, never seen anything like it.
Anyone ever seen this before? |
Any chance of doing a screen capture so we can take a look?

Im assuming you have tried right clicking on the toolbar and going to view or the like... and disabling whatever you are seeing.

I'll have to try a screen cap. There is no tool bar or "window". All you see is the quick links on the left.
