Firefox Extension Question: Flashblock
Greetings Everyone,
I have a question for the Mozilla/Firefox experts here. I installed an extension entitled Flashblock to stop Flash applications from launching automatically. I would push a little Flash button to launch them if I desired. Now, I want to get rid of it. I went to my extensions tab and its not there. How can I uninstall this extension and get rid of it for good? Thanks P4 2.6HT 1.25G 3200DDR RAM ATI 9800Pro M-Audio Rev 7.1 XP SP2 |
Are you sure you are seeing all of the extensions installed? When I went to view my extensions just now, it was only showing four of them, so I had to click and drag the bottom part of the window further down to see the rest.
If you have an extension installed and it's working, it's going to be in the extensions folder. If not, then well......update to firefox 1.0.4 and see if that fixes it. |
How to uninstall Flashblock: Since you didn't say which version of Flashblock or which version of Firefox, here's a full description. You might be best served jumping right to the end and reading the Manual methods.
When Firefox 1.1 comes out, you should be able to simply delete the specific folder from Profile\Extensions\Extensionname, and that will uninstall it. |
