Mozilla problem

hey everyone.. came to you guys for some help after searching thru google.. my friend is having problems with her mozilla browser.. I think the version is 1.7.3

this was her msg to me..

when i go onto certain sites, a message pops up that says: "the procedure entry point ??0NS_ConvertUTF16toUTF8@@QAE@PBG@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library xpcom.dll"

i've been trying to figure out how to fix it and what not.. i found that a few ppl have had problems with this and it seems that its due from flash portions on websites.. the flash will load but only after they click ok in the little popup that they get..

Does anyone have any idea what i can tell her to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Jason

Crazy

If she's using 1.7.3, I'd upgrade to the newly released 1.7.7.

I saw some things just lsearching on the xpcom.dll, and mostly they were related to netscape 7, but mentioned that either the profile is corrupted, or maybe an extension that was installed is screwing up the program.

I think that if they did a clean install of it it wouldn't matter, but just upgrading on top of the old version would probably give the same error.
Note: I'm a firefox user, and am still using netscape 4.x because i'm too damn lazy to actually convert my stuff to thunderbird. :P
