What's your PPC
I Just wanted to see what everyone has and why, and possibly gloat on getting my new Dell x50v ppc with the 624MHz processor, bluetooth, 802.11b, and of course, VGA display with VGA out capability for doing presentations on a projector. My only complaint is the lack of the auto backlight sensor my older HP Jornada 568 had.

I have an IPAQ 4150. Very small, very fast with all the gubbins. It's an old model - but there is nothing as small anymore
|
Dell Axim X30H - nearly the same as the x50 without the VGA (why???). Got it for about $280, which made it cheaper than any Palm device I've ever owned. It seems like the first PPC with a decent (non-brick) form factor, too. Lots of neat tricks you can do with it. But for the most part, the basics (calendar, contacts, etc.) are less intuitive than my past PalmOS devices.

I've got an x50v and love it. No complaints that I have towards it. Of course, I bought it with the company credit card, so no money out of my wallet. Good stuff though.

company credit, you cheater, I paid in blood(cash).

I have a iPaq rx3115. I got it Saturday night and so far I love it! In the past I've had a iPaq 3660 that died, Jornada 640 that I didn't like and sold, and before that a Palm 3x (the 8mb model).
I have a 512mb sd card and have all kinds of crap installed already :) I love the Nevo software that comes with it since my kids loose my remotes all the time. The bluetooth/wifi is nice also. I never realized there are so many unsecure networks all over the place. I was at my mother-in-laws last night and was downloading video clips from ebaums world while sitting on the couch using one of the neighbors wifi . Another perk of PPC vs Palm for me is that I develop software. If I ever come up with something for PPC, I can just write it! |
I have a Dell Axim X3 that I got from my work. But since I am moving jobs, I am going to have to give it back. :( I will miss my games (like I use it for anything else besides finding wireless networks).

My PPC is a PowerMac 7300/166. And it runs NetBSD/macppc. :P

Dell Axim x50 520mhz too ;)
