System Bypassing Folders
My employer's computer: Windows NT & Office 2000
My question: Whenever I try to open a saved document or attempt to "save as" while working in MS Word, the window that opens showing the save location jumps past all of the folders and only shows the currently saved files. If I want to save to a folder, I need to scroll back to where the folder is located. There must be a way to prevent this jump from occurring as it doesn't happen at every computer and they all run the same OS and software. Any ideas? |
I think you have to go under tools->Options->file locations
and change to what ever you like if I understand you correct Under Excel same way except it is on tap general and file locations Good luck |

Anyone else have a suggestion? |
I'm thinking it might be how the files are sorted in the open/save window...in that window, change to details view, sort by name, cancel and try again. I just did it on my system here, and if I had the files sorted by name ascending, it would list the files before the folders. changing to descending made it list the folders 1st.
