Need help locating and removing .exe file

I picked up an .exe file while surfing last night and I need to remove it.
I've got Norton Internet Security running and it seems to be blocking it from connecting online, but I want the fucker gone, not just blocked.

Is there a way to accomplish this that I can easily comprehend, o' mighty gurus of Bits & Bytes?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Symantec's official response:

I wouldn't normally post a stand-alone link but this is one case where you're helping yourself by learning their ropes. The page tells you about the attack, what it'll do, and how to get rid of it.

Just a word of warning - the link talks about deleting a registry key - make sure you delete the right one - killing the wrong key can kinda stuff the installation. It is not difficult, just double check you are removing the right thing.

Thanks for the warning, spindles.

I slogged my way through it and finally found it.
I then triple checked everything before deleting, and so far, everything seems fine. *crosses fingers*

Thanks for your help and advice, guys. I do appreciate it.
