USB to PC Card adapter?
Anyone ever hear of an adapter to let a desktop with USB use PC card devices?

they have em for PCI, so i would imagine a USB version exists.
never actually heard of one though...not that i can remember. |
I doubt one exists. USB doesn't have a fraction of the bandwidth of the PCI bus. USB2 perhaps... What do you want this for?

The reason I'm asking is because I have a wireless network using DLINK products. They have 802.11b enhanced to 22mbits. They have a PCI card that supports 22mbits, and a PC card that supports 22mbits, but the USB adapter only supports 11mbits. I would love to have an external adapter operating at 22 mbits that can move between my laptop and another computer I built that is portable, but doesn't have a useable PCI slot. It's a computer built in a VERY small custom case, so there is no room for a PCI card.

I just picked one up, thank's yotta. When did that come out? I've been waiting for that thing.

I don't know when it came out. D-Link's FTP site shows the manual to be dated 5/15/03...
