do you other proxomitron users have the same problem? |
Use POW from analogx.com. I haven't used proxomitron but I do know POW works well.

Pop-up stopper from www.panicware.com
I have the old school one that just works for IE and Netscape, no AOL. It's simple and it let's NO popups through. If you want a popup all you gotta do is hold Ctrl. In the years I have had it, not one popup has sneaked through. Even AOL has a new popup stopper built into the browser. So AOL, IE, and Netscape are covered. |
It's not something I like to do but have you considered Mozilla
It is free - fast - and consided by some to be better than IE |
Would "this prog" be the Windows Messenger Service? Because I never, ever get popups with Proxo.
Go to Start>Control Panel>Admin Tools>Services and disable Messenger. Right-click on it and select Properties to stop and disable. Hit Apply, then hit OK. You may have to restart. Also, when you customize Proxo, you have to click on the green floppy disk icon to actually save the settings. |
Johnny Rotten: you are a bad ass. I have been trying to find that damn Messenger and everyone and their brothers will supposedly sell you the cure for 20bucks but none work. Thnx very much
