MP3 from Mpeg?
I have an mpeg of a Eminems new video "Mosh" and want to pull out the sound as an mp3.
The video arrived corupted on the disc, and so there is no picture, only sound. I haven't quite figured out if someone misnamed the file as an mpeg instead of mp3, and I will try renaming it, but if not, Can someone recomend a good program to take an mpegs sountrack and make an mp3 of it? |
just a quick question: is the video on it corrupted or is it just a codec your computer doesn't support? I have seen many instances where someone has a video file and attempts to play it and the file in question only plays the sound with no video, but it was just due to not having the correct codec..
as far as a badly named mp3.. if the file is bigger than 15 megs, I would lean more towards a video (most music videos tend to be in the 50-70 MB range, whereas most mp3s tend to be in the 2-11 MB range). |
There's a program called TMPGEnc that will do this for you. You should be able to get it from http://www.doom9.net

Thanks for the help guys. The whole file ended up corrupt. I had only listened to 30sec of it to check. No data in the file after 60sec anyway. either an RIAA spoof or a botched encode. Oh well.
