wireless pc question

I am a newbie to computers, so if this question is dumb, don't reply. My sister has a hp computer (not a laptop), and I am trying to figure out a way to get her internet. The problem is, there is no way to run a wire to her computer. I was wondering if she could get internet through a wireless card. We have a wirless router, and it would not be a problem. Im just not sure if she has to have a wire, or I can get her a card. I know there is not a slot for a card on the oustide. The computer is fairly new, and is running on xp.

You can get her a wireless card. If there isn't a slot available then you'll have to remove something else taking it up, but there usually is a slot available for this.

Okay. I went to look at the computer, and I was wrong. It is a compaq presario s4010cl. It is older than I thought. I checked the back, and there are no slots for the card. I guess I will have to bring it in to get it installed. I hate to do that. Thanks for the input phukraut. :|

Get a USB wireless network adapter. They're about $30 to $40 and pretty simple to install on your own. Look them up on www.newegg.com

Linksys makes a pretty decent wireless NIC via USB. And if you end up unplugging this from her computer, you can always use it for your TiVo. No Tivo? Get one. hah

Linksys WUSB54G

But, get it from Newegg as mentioned above. You'll save some money by doing so.
